Meet you in Pittsburgh...

We first crossed paths when mutual childhood friends invited us to a virtual game night group for young adults to stay social at the height of a global pandemic. A winner's trophy led to us talking all night and day, and from there it was history.

Despite residing in separate states, our undeniable spiritual connection led us to take a chance and we met at our halfway point in Pittsburgh, PA, for a first date. Not even a worldwide pandemic could keep us away from what Hashem had in store for us.

Lovers of the outdoors, we went on our first nature trail walk together. As we entered the trail, graffiti lit up a wall with the words “AGNES CREW.” Agnes Hurd Ward, of blessed memory, was Ashira's grandmother's name and whom Ashira fondly refers to as her best friend and advisor.

Meet you in New York City...

This kicked off a relationship filled with travel, exploration, and discovery. As we traveled the country together and experienced various states and cities, one thing became clear: this life was for life.

In the late summer of 2021, we met once again in New York City - our happy place - and on this particular trip, Yehuda brought an engagement ring.

Ashira said "yes” in the Channel Gardens at The Rockefeller Center in New York City!
